Newton kitchens come in to our Waltham showroom most often as 1920s to 1950s footprints with original soffits, single-row cabinetry, and a wall between the kitchen and the dining or family room. Newton's Inspectional Services Department issues kitchen permits for plumbing, electrical, and gas. Homes in the village historic districts can also need historic-commission review, which we factor into the schedule. We prepare and submit the permit applications as part of the project.
