    Why Newton

How Newton reads at the showroom

Newton is about 12 minutes from our Waltham showroom at 145 Newton St., Suite 3, with 1920s colonials, shingle-style homes, tighter second-floor footprints. We see the most calls from Newton Centre, Auburndale, Newtonville and Waban, where housing stock and lot sizes are fairly consistent across blocks.

    What we typically do

Common scope for Newton bath vanities

Bath vanities are a quieter side of the showroom — the same Fabuwood, Mantra, and Europa cabinet lines we use for kitchens, sized to bath proportions and paired with stone tops we cut to the rough-in. Newton bath calls usually come from owners doing a primary-bath full gut or a guest-bath refresh, and the vanity is the piece they want to spec first because it sets the tone for the rest of the room.

We pull the rough-in measurements on a 30-minute showroom visit, then walk you through cabinet construction (dovetail drawers, soft-close hardware, plywood box vs. particleboard), the stone slab options at our partner yards, and the faucet height the chosen vanity will accept. The output is a written quote with the cabinet spec, top template, and lead time.

Install is handled by our build crew at Bay State Remodeling if you want a single project lead, or you can have your own contractor or plumber set the vanity. The Mantra limited lifetime and Europa 100-year limited warranties travel with the cabinet either way.

    Permits and logistics

    Newton permit notes

Newton's Inspectional Services Department reviews kitchen permits for plumbing, electrical, and gas. Pre-1940 exteriors in the village districts also need historic commission signoff, which we build into our schedule up front. Permit turnaround is typically 4 to 6 weeks.
